Volunteer Advocacy Award
EmployAbility is calling for nominations for the annual Vicki Loughrey Volunteer Advocacy Award which is given each year to honor Vicki Loughrey, who passed away in 2012. In recognition of her legacy of service, this award recognizes the contributions of an outstanding individual in our community, who embodies or demonstrates the spirit of volunteerism.
Vicki Loughrey was a dedicated board member and enthusiastic volunteer for EmployAbility (previously Coastal Center for Development Services) and believed strongly in EmployAbility’s mission: to prepare individuals with IDD for employment and community integration. In addition, Vicki was the driving force of EmployAbility’s inaugural Golf Tournament and fundraising event in 2011.
Nominees must be:
- over 18 years of age
- have completed at least 1 year of volunteer service for a non-profit in and the greater Savannah area
- have made a significant impact for that organization, through the donation of their time or talents.
We encourage organizations to submit multiple nominations to recognize all of their dedicated volunteers!
Please submit your nominations by April 15, 2019. The winner will be announced on May 1, 2019 and will be presented with the award at the EmployAbility Golf Tournament on May 17, 2019, as part of the 19th Hole Party!
