The Enrichment Center

Day Habilitation and Community Access Group

Create New Connections with your Community

The Enrichment Center at EmployAbility provides daily opportunities for Day Habilitation and Community Access Groups. Explore the community, cultivate new friendships & natural supports, and practice skills that will increase confidence and self-reliance.

Participants in Community Access Groups have a wide range of interests and capabilities, and we strive to provide a meaningful day for everybody. Volunteering at other local non-profits is a core component of the Enrichment Center program. Participants get to experience the community’s gratitude for helping others. Other times, groups tour local history and cultural sites, visit local nature sites, and enjoy onsite visits from volunteers.

For program participants who use wheelchairs, EmployAbility has hydraulic lift wheelchair vans so everyone has a chance to explore! Likewise, for those needing additional assistance with feeding or toileting, staff are specially trained to help.

Our hope is that Enrichment Center program participants have a meaningful day each and every day, where they feel that they are positively impacting their own lives and the community they live in.
